With An Exception of Bad News?

I wonder what Douglas Adams was thinking when he stated:

'Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws.'


I my view, it would rather be good news. To be particular, the news of cancellation of yoga classes! Here's how : earlier this year, our school came up with this 'bright' idea of starting Baba Ramdev style mass yoga classes. We were given these tacky nylon tracksuits with bag-like pants. They were B-A-D! We had yoga in home room periods on Wednesdays and Fridays. Everyone hated it.. but the school authorities just didn't care. Morons!
Then, about 7-8 irritating yoga classes later, monsoons came to our rescue! One fine monsoon evening.. I got an IM from one of my friends, informing me about the cancellation of the yoga session the following day! I checked the school website, and it was true!! I was almost dancing like a maniac! I informed some of my friends.. who informed some other friends. Within seconds, the news spread like wildfire! This continued for about 2 weeks.. every Tuesday and Thursday evening the whole of DPS Mathura Road would wait impatiently for an update on the school website!
Coming back to the topic, I would like to correct Mr. Adams and his theory of bad news traveling faster than the speed of light! Is he listening!?

Ohh.. and btw.. the yoga classes are on hold as of now. Thanks to the weather + exams! But it is speculated that they will resume after the exams..wth?! :S


PS: The science practical today wasn't as good.. i might end up losing my marker cup because of the silly onion peel! No Viva .. and No Vodka! :D
